Tragedy in St Elizabeth: Man Fatally Shot During Supermarket Robbery

Terror struck the quiet community of Maggotty, St Elizabeth, on Saturday afternoon when a supermarket robbery turned deadly. Around 12:10 p.m., armed men stormed the store, and in a horrifying turn of events, 62-year-old Aggrey Atkinson of Russell, Balaclava, was fatally shot during the heist.

Despite efforts to rush him to the hospital, Atkinson tragically succumbed to his injuries.

The Maggotty Criminal Investigation Branch is now racing against time to track down the assailants behind this senseless act, as the community reels from the shock and loss of a beloved resident.
