Motorists faced significant delays on the PJ Patterson Highway on Thursday after a collision between two trucks near the Toll Gate exit in Clarendon blocked the westbound lanes.
The accident left the roadway littered with goods and building materials, rendering it impassable.
The incident occurred after the toll booth on the westbound side, forcing authorities to divert traffic through Clarendon Park and into Porus.
Motorists were able to rejoin the highway beyond the crash site.
