Marvin ‘Pele’ Facey, one of Hanover’s most violent men, was cut down in a hail of bullets by the police on Thursday night.
According to a source, Facey was a thorn in the side of the Hanover police in recent years; he was cut down 10 months shy of his 50th birthday.
Residents of Dam Head, Logwood, and other parts of Green Island can now breathe a sigh of relief after Facey was shot dead in an alleged confrontation with the police on Thursday night.
The source also revealed that Facey was a high-ranking member of the ‘Ants Nest’ gang, which was based in the Logwood section of Green Island.
An internal conflict caused a rift in the gang, with two factions coming out of the split: ‘Dam Squad’ and ‘Vendetta Gang’.
Facey was the leader of ‘Dam Squad’ and is alleged to have recruited two of his sons to join the gang.
One of those sons is now in custody, awaiting trial on a murder charge. Ironically, that same son was originally released on bail on that murder charge.
But while out on bail, he was shot and injured in a shootout with members of a police team, and a ‘Ghost Gun’ was reportedly found in his possession.
In 2018, Facey was charged for the rape of his stepdaughter.
It’s alleged that the child’s mother, who was the sole witness to that incident, was murdered before she could testify in court.
However, the murder happened while Facey was behind bars.
Facey was also implicated in the murders of Jamar Miles, also known as ‘Buss Head’ on May 8, 2024; Derrick McNeil, otherwise known as ‘Rasta’ on July 1, 2024; and Akeeli Morris, otherwise known as ‘Billy’ on July 23, 2024.
