Manchester resident gunned down in Spanish Town

Police in Spanish Town are investigating the fatal shooting of 39-year-old Jason Gardener, a resident of Fairfield, Lincoln, Manchester, who was killed early Saturday morning on Young Street.

According to police reports, explosions sounding like gunfire was heard around 4:40 a.m. in the area. Shortly afterward, Gardener was found on the roadway with multiple gunshot wounds.

The police were summoned, the scene examined and Gardener was transported to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are yet to determine a motive for the attack.

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the incident.
